Wheel choices and saved lists

• Temporary: Current wheel choices, random-team assignments, Secret Santa assignments and reveal progress, and Classroom Name Picker results, picked order, absences and internal participant IDs, Random List Shuffler input, mode, selection count, ordered results and selected batches, Random Assignment Generator input, rules, mode and results, plus Classroom Seating Chart Generator rosters, rooms, placements and class titles, and same-tab transfer data, stay in memory.
• Saved: When you choose to save a list, only its name and ordered entry labels stay in this browser's local storage until you delete them or clear the site's browser data.
• Not sent by the tools: List entries, participant names, assignments, and shuffled order are not added to analytics, logs, forms, requests, or page URLs. The Classroom picker also does not send attendance, result, history, or participant-ID state. The assignment tool does not send required or excluded pairs. The seating tool does not send seat coordinates or fixed placements.

The random team generator, Secret Santa generator, Classroom Name Picker, the Random List Shuffler, and the Random Assignment Generator all reuse the same generic saved-list store. There is no account, cloud copy, or server-side roster storage. The Shuffler and assignment tool have no server-side list storage either.

Wheel weights stay in this open wheel: Weights, chance mode, probabilities, occurrence identities and results stay in memory. Saving or sending a list includes names only. Loading a list clears weights and starts with equal chances. Refreshing, leaving and returning through browser history clears weighted state; hiding the tab alone does not. These values are not written to local or session storage, cookies, URLs, history state, requests, analytics or logs. Browser snapshots and copies already on your device are outside this application retention promise; this is not secure memory erasure.

Team adjustments are temporary: The current teams, swaps, kept memberships and participant identities stay in memory only. Refreshing or leaving clears them. Saving a roster stores names only, without occurrence qualifiers, keeps or adjustments. Copy all teams and Download team PDF use the current adjusted grouping with its visible duplicate qualifiers, excluding kept flags and internal identities. Names and adjustment state are not added to URLs, requests, analytics or logs. Clipboard and downloaded copies remain under your control.

Team ratings stay in this session: Entered ratings, their participant mapping and team totals stay in this tool's memory. WheelSays does not write them to local or session storage, saved lists, cookies, page addresses, transfers, requests, analytics or logs. Saving a roster saves names only. Editing names, loading a roster or switching away from rating balance clears ratings after confirmation. Editing rating settings clears the result and keeps while retaining the draft. Start over, refreshing or leaving clears rated state; returning through browser history starts with ratings cleared. Hiding a tab alone does not. Copy all teams and Download team PDF include names and team labels, without rating values or totals. The PDF identifies the method and any manual adjustment. Browser snapshots, screenshots, full-page browser printing and copies already handed to your device are outside that application retention boundary; this is not secure memory erasure.

Pairs are temporary: The Team Generator keeps its Teams/Pairs mode, odd-person choice, participant identities and pairing result in memory only. Refreshing or leaving clears that state. Explicit Save stores only the existing generic roster name and ordered names. Copy results sends the selected result to your device clipboard; its handling depends on your device settings. WheelSays does not retain that copy or send participant data in URLs, requests, analytics or logs. Print results hands the current pairing to your browser's print dialog, which may offer Save as PDF. WheelSays does not generate a Pair PDF or store that output. Printed and browser-saved copies are outside this workspace and can remain after you clear or leave it; their handling is under your control. Download team PDF is available in Teams mode.

Classroom activity is temporary: Refreshing or leaving the Classroom Name Picker clears its current result, picked history, absence flags, and participant IDs. Explicit Save stores only the generic list name and ordered student labels in this browser. Enter only the label needed to identify a student. A teacher controls who can see a projected result; WheelSays cannot make a classroom display private.

Shuffled orders are temporary: Unsaved Random List Shuffler input and its ordered result stay in memory and are cleared when you refresh or leave the page. Explicit Save stores only the current input list, not a shuffled order. Copy places the visible order in the device clipboard; WheelSays does not retain that copy. Selection mode, its count, original source and selected batch also stay in memory. Saved lists and transfers contain labels only. Copy selected entries sends only the displayed batch, in plain text. These selection values are not added to storage, page URLs, requests, analytics or logs. Editing clears the result and copy feedback, but cannot cancel or recall a browser clipboard write already requested. Selection has no timetable, print control or generated file. Optional timetable settings, drafts, occurrence IDs, swaps and schedule results also stay in memory. They are not added to saved lists, page URLs, transfer data, requests or analytics. Copy schedule places the current applied timetable on your clipboard. Print schedule hands that same timetable to your browser's print facility; any Save as PDF option belongs to the browser. WheelSays does not generate or retain a schedule file and cannot tell whether you printed, saved or cancelled.

Assignments are temporary: The two unsaved editors, occurrence IDs, required or excluded rules, unequal-list mode and assignment result clear when you refresh or leave the page. Explicit Save stores only the selected People or Items source list. Copy places the visible result in the device clipboard; WheelSays does not retain that copy. Print / Save as PDF hands the visible summary and ledger to the browser or device print dialog. WheelSays does not create, name, upload or retain a PDF or other file, and cannot observe whether you print, cancel or use a browser-provided save option.

Secret Santa reveals are processed locally in the pass-the-device workflow.

Seating plans are temporary: The Classroom Seating Chart Generator processes names and seats in your browser. Reloading or leaving the page clears the chart, room layout, fixed placements, occurrence identities, corrections and optional class title. Save roster stores only the editor’s names through the existing generic saved-list store. Saved rosters remain in that browser/device until removed; they are not an account or cloud backup. Native printing uses the current seating plan. Printed or browser-saved copies are under your control; WheelSays cannot tell whether you printed, saved or cancelled.

Current teams only: Downloading a team PDF copies only the assignment currently shown into measured, image-based pages in this browser. It does not reshuffle, read a saved roster, send participant names, or create a server copy. The UTC filename timestamp is not rendered on the PDF pages.

Current pair only: Copying an assignment places only that pair in the device clipboard. Downloading a private card creates one PNG locally with only that participant and recipient. WheelSays does not retain the card.

You control copied text and downloaded files afterward. A shared browser or device is not a cryptographic security boundary. Refreshing or leaving discards the in-memory draw.

Consent and analytics

Google Analytics can use cookies and identifiers to measure visits and interactions, including information about your browser or device. It loads only when WheelSays’ regional settings and your recorded privacy choice allow it. Where shown, use Cookie settings or Privacy choices to change that choice. The tools do not send your list entries or results to Google Analytics. Your analytics choice is stored in this browser under consent-status; a cookie records the regional setting.

Contact and feedback

Contact and Feedback use Cloudflare Turnstile to check submissions, Brevo to send messages, and Vercel to limit repeated requests.

Brevo receives the validated name, topic, and message only after the honeypot, configuration, and server-side Turnstile checks pass. A validated visitor email is used only as the optional Reply-To address, never as the sender. Form contents are not used for analytics.

Delivery limitation: Provider acceptance does not guarantee inbox delivery.
